Inspired by... symbols of freedom

Between Memorial Day and the 4th of July there is a lot of red, white and blue going on!  The sacrifices made by men and women to ensure our freedom and the birth of the United States of America is certainly worth remembering and celebrating.

The American Flag is a powerful and inspiring symbol!  Countless men have given their lives to defend the basic principles this symbol represents.  Have you attended an event recently where you recited the pledge of allegiance or heard the Star Spangled Banner?  Did it move you?  It does me.  Every time. I can't help but think about all that this symbol represents.  It's inspiring.

Even at rest, this bird takes your breath away.  It's powerful, majestic, fierce, protective.  If you've ever seen this bird in real life, you understand why it's another inspiring symbol of our Nation.

There's lots of catchy phrases out there about our country and the men that have died to keep her free.

Let's hope these quotes never become so common place that we forget the meaning behind the words. If you think you'd like to use these in your celebration next week, click HERE to download the free printables.  You could use them between pennants to make a patriotic garland or glue them to popsicle sticks and add them to your table décor. There are lots of possibilities!

I've been busy on Pinterest today searching for July 4th party ideas.  I'll be sharing those with you tomorrow, along with what's on my menu for next Wednesday. I'd love to hear what y'all are planning for the 4th!

Have a wonder-filled day!
